The problem, though, is that if you remove evil corporations' incentives, they will not innovate... Take Disney+. Whether or not you agree with them is irrelevant, but if you as a consumer want them to keep product movies such as the "free guy" you mention, then you need to keep paying them for the product content. If you pay them one once-free guy, they pay back the artists for that one movie but don't do much for future work. Essentially these SaaS companies are selling the promise that we will always keep making our product better if and only if you keep paying us..

If you remove incentives to innovate, you kill progress.

I would argue property taxes on a home you own outright is actually much more "evil" than the Disney / corporation comparison. It isn't right that a 50-year-old who bought their house when they were 20 that they now own outright has to constantly be paying more and more each year due to taxes that are outside of their control and outside of their budget control.
