If you empower employees to take actions that aren’t in line with your core (or large faction) of customers you run the risk of not just causing a fissure but actual implosion.
If bud light were any other smaller beer without significant backing brand (say shiner bock) they might not recover froma 25% sales drop. Same goes with any other company.
I expect Disney and bud light will be fine, but this should serve as a warning more to younger less established brands: don’t bite the hand that feeds you.
