I really don’t think CC processing fees from visa equal junk fees (that isn’t to say they aren’t high) and one day may be wiped out by competitors with better tech.

Junk fees to the avg consumer are when fees or costs that used to be covered by the company all of sudden are passed onto the consumer as a line item on their bill.

(I.e. modem recapture fee on internet bills, car package fees by the dealer on new cars, early prepayment fee on loans, hiding the APR on loans, charging the same amount for entertainment and then all of a sudden you get ads ala Disney+, or upping prices once you have removed the completion ala Uber)
